Hi thanks for stopping by!!! And welcome to my Top 10 Tuesday post!

Thanks to the lovely ladies at The Broke And The Bookish for creating this weekly meme!

Here's this week's topic.

November 10: Top Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I'm Looking Forward To or Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I Still Need To Watch

I'm pretty good at watching book to movie adaptations so there won't be many need-to-watch ones. Also they really should have added Book to TV adaptations to this TTT so I did it myself.

1. Mockingjay Part 2 I know I'm going to cry like a baby in this but I'm still excised to see the finale on November 18th we got super cool double feature passes!

2. Allegiant. No full length trailer yet but here's a teaser trailer, and I know I hated the book but I still will watch this lol.

3. Paper Towns. Not gonna lie I am not a fan of John Green's books but If I don't watch this my friends will drive me nuts.

4. The Legend of Shannara. This isn't a movie but a new TV series based off of Terry Brooks books and I can't wait to watch! Make sure to check MTV for the start date and follow @Shannara on twitter!

5. The Mortal Instruments. Yep another TV show and I'm not quite sure how I will like it but I'm going to give it a shot. I'm hoping it's better than the movie. Make sure to check ABC Family/ soon to be Freeform for the start date and follow @ABCFamily on twitter!

6. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. It's a Harry Potter spin off need I say more? There's no trailer yet but this was a cool breakdown on the Entertainment Weekly cover from Beyond the Trailer.

7. The 5th Wave. Loved this book and I love Chloe Grace Moritz. I can't wait for this one!

8. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. I love Ransom and even though I haven't read this book I'm excited for the movie. Obviously this isn't the trailer but it's pretty cool!

9. The Magicians by Lev Grossman. Another TV series but I can't wait for this one on Syfy! Make sure to check Syfy for the start date and follow @Syfy on twitter!

10. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. This one just looks like it'll be awesome!

Honorable Mentions

Fallen by Lauren Kate. Admittedly I wasn't a huge fan of this series but I'll give the movie a try.

So what about you? What are your favorite book To Movie or TV Adaptations? And come back next week for my Top Ten Quotes I Loved From Books I Read In The Past Year Or So. I may or may not do this one since I've stopped putting post-its in my review books.

Verdict: I'll keep watching for now unless it gets too soapy.

Quantico – 10 p.m., ABC

My favorite new show of the week! I can't wait to see the mystery unfurl and see who the bomber actually is! Also I love this whole cast! Priyanka Chopra is an awesome actress!

Verdict: Watch this one!

Wednesday, Sept. 30

Code Black – 10 p.m., CBS

Honestly I was apprehensive about this one. I mean c'mon how many hospital shows can you have? But I ended up genuinely surprised! Marcia Gay Harden is great and I really enjoyed this pilot episode!

Verdict: Give this one a shot!

Family is power. The Original Vampire family swore it to each other a thousand years ago. They pledged to remain together always and forever. But even when you're immortal, promises are hard to keep.
Klaus, Rebekah and Elijah Mikaelson had won it all, only to lose it again by 1788. Control of New Orleans is split between the vampires and the werewolves, much to Klaus's displeasure.
In a dangerous attempt to reclaim his home, Klaus decides to build a vampire army to take out the werewolves once and for all. If he can't have love, then he'll settle for power. Elijah lets his brother take the reins as he turns his attentions to a beautiful and mysterious witch. But Rebekah has had enough of her brothers' love of bloodshed and begins a journey to find her first home and the key to her family's immortality.

As the battles rages on, the siblings must come together and fight for what they believe in most: family.

About The Rise (Book 1):

Family is power. The Original vampire family swore it to each other a thousand years ago. They pledged to remain together always and forever. But even when you're immortal, promises are hard to keep.

Arriving in New Orleans in 1722, Original vampire siblings Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah Mikaelson believe they've escaped their dangerous past. But the city is lawless, a haven for witches and werewolves unwilling to share territory. The siblings are at their mercy, especially after Klaus meets the beautiful and mysterious Vivianne. Her impending marriage is key to ending the war between the supernatural factions—and Klaus's attraction to her could destroy the uneasy alliance. As Elijah works toward securing a piece of the city for his family, and Rebekah fights her unexpected feelings for a French captain, will Klaus's volatile desires bring their world crashing down—and tear them apart for good?

About The Loss (Book 2):

Family is power. The Original vampire family swore it to each other a thousand years ago. They pledged to remain together always and forever. But even when you're immortal, promises are hard to keep.

After a hurricane destroyed their city, Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah Mikaelson have rebuilt New Orleans to even greater glory. The year is 1766. The witches live on the fringes in the bayou. The werewolves have fled. But still, Klaus isn't satisfied. He wants more. He wants power. But when Klaus finally finds a witch who will perform a spell to give him what he desires most, she secretly uses Klaus to unleash a curse—one that brings back hundreds of her ancestors—and begins a war to reclaim New Orleans. As the siblings fight off the attack, only one thing's for certain—the result will be a bloodbath.

Meet Elijah!

Name: Elijah Mikaelson
DOB: 977 A.D
Turned: Sometime in the 10th Century
Siblings in order from oldest to youngest: Freya, Finn, Niklaus (half-brother), Kol, Rebekah, Henrik

Why did I choose to spotlight Elijah?

Well besides the fact that he's smoking hot lol he's my favorite character.

He is a thinker and is extremely intelligent, is an honorable noble man, is intense, has a dry sense of humor that I adore, and he's the one who tries to remain as human as he can considering his circumstances.

Also he knows how to rock a suit!

Mmmmm shirtless Elijah!

He is truly a middle child trying to keep the peace between his older and younger siblings. He's also fiercely protective of them and will do anything to keep his family safe from harm so do not mess with this guy or you will find yourself very dead.

Elijah is also a romantic he's searching for that special someone and even though he's come close a few times "the one" still hasn't showed up in his life.

Top Ten Tuesday (29)- Top Ten Books I'd Love To See As Movies/TV Shows

Hi thanks for stopping by!!! And welcome to my Top 10 Tuesday post!

Thanks to the lovely ladies at The Broke And The Bookish for creating this weekly meme!

Here's this week's topic.

June 2: Top Ten Books I'd Love To See As Movies/TV Shows

I'll be honest here I think most YA books that have been turned into movies would have probably been better being TV shows. There's more room to tell the story and stay true to the source material. That's why most of this list will be TV shows instead of movies.

1. The Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead- Yes I know we had a movie for book 1 but it wasn't very good. Also I think it would have been better as a TV series.

2. The Infernal Devices Series by Cassie Clare- I love this series and it would be a perfect Penny Dreadful like TV series for YA fans.

3. The Study Series by Maria V. Snyder- With Fantasy taking over TV I think it's time that this could be made into an awesome TV show. Plus there's tons of material that it could be around for a long time!

4. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir- yes I know it's been optioned. I have my fingers crossed that it actually becomes a movie.

5. Claudia Gray's Firebird series- This would be an awesome TV series. I would love to see who they cast as Paul.

6. The Testing Series by Joelle Charbonneau- I'd love to see this be made into a movie trilogy. I think it would definitely hold it's own against The Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Maze Runner! With the right script and cast it could even be better!

7. The Wrath & The Dawn Series by Renee Ahdieh- This fairy tale retelling would be a hot TV show!

8. The Blood of Eden Series by Julie Kagawa- Julie's books would make an awesome dystopian vampire TV series!

9. Alienated series by Melissa Landers- We need more sc-fi alien shows on TV. I miss Roswell and Starcrossed was gone even before it got a real chance and I think this series would be perfect to fill it's spot.

10. The Artisans by Julie Reece- I would love, love, love to see this as a movie!

So this is my list. What about you? What books would you like to see turned into a TV show or movie?

And come back next week for my Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For the Rest of 2015!

Jaime

Watch These Amazon Pilots and vote for them!

Hey All! I haven't talked about TV shows in a long time but I wanted to talk about these two amazing pilots from Amazon! I've watched some of their pilots for past Amazon Pilot Seasons but none of them have had me as obsessed as these two! They NEED to be turned into series I just have to find out what happens next! The acting is superb and the scripts rock!

Here's some info on them and the trailers.

THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE
Based on Philip K. Dick's award-winning novel, and executive produced by Ridley Scott (Blade Runner), The Man in the High Castle explores what it would be like if the Allied Powers had lost WWII, and Japan and Germany ruled the United States. Starring Rufus Sewell (John Adams), Luke Kleintank (Pretty Little Liars) and Alexa Davalos (Mob City).

This is a clip from the show there isn't a full trailer.

POINT OF HONOR
At the start of the Civil War, a prominent Virginia family makes the controversial decision to defend the South while freeing all of their slaves, pitting the family against one another and testing their strength, courage and love. The pilot was co-written by Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Randall Wallace (Braveheart) and directed by Wallace. Shot on location in Virgina.

I adore this and it has Nathan Parsons in it! We've all fallen in love with this guy from True Blood and The Originals and some of us have been fans since his days on General Hospital!

So if you have Prime go HERE to watch and make sure to vote for them when they're finished! Oh and come back when you're done I'd love to hear what you think!

Thanks to the lovely ladies at The Broke And The Bookish for creating this weekly meme!

Here's this week's topic.

January 13: Freebie!

I wasn't sure I was going to do the freebie one but I decided to share my top ten TV shows of all time with you! You always hear about books from me so I thought I'd mix it up!

1. Roswell. This is my all time favorite! I loved the whole cast especially Jason Behr as Max *swoons*and it's about Aliens!

2. The Walking Dead. I love me some zombies! But I love the study into human nature more! Plus Daryl Dixon is my man!

3. Game of Thrones. It's no surprise I love high fantasy shows as much as I love high fantasy books and this is my favorite! And it's got a ton of hot guys! Jon Snow <3 comment-3333--="">

4. Alias. Sydney Bristow is my hero and her and Vaughn will be my #1 TV couple ever!!

5. Charmed. The best tv series about witches ever mad IMO.

6. Survivors. This BBC gem only lasted 2 seasons but they were amazing. If you haven't checked out this post apocalyptic show make sure to add it to your lists!

7. Merlin. It could be cheesy at times but I loved all the actors. Bradley James was the perfect Arthur and I adored Colin Morgan as Merlin also Eion Macken (Gwaine) has my heart forever!

8. Stargate SG1. Really I loved all the Stargate shows but this one is my fave!! I mean Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson was brilliant!

9. Legend of the Seeker. Another high fantasy series and Craig Horner was awesome as Richard and he's hot! This one was a book series by Terry Goodkind

10. The Challenge. The only reality show to hit my list. But I've been watching this since the first Challenge and I have come to see some of the cast as family! RIP Diem and Knight <3 comment-333--="">

So this is my list. What about you? What are some of your all time favorite TV shows?

And come back next week for Top Ten Books I'd Love to Read With My Book Club/If I Had A Book Club! I'm not sure what I'll do but it should be fun!

Morganville The Series News and exclusive Content

Hey All! I wanted to share some awesome things! Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires Series has become a TV series on YouTube adapted by Geek and Sundry! If you've read the books or even if you haven't this is a great time to start!

Here's some information about the show.

Morganville: The Series Revitalizes Vampire Genre Just in Time for Halloween
Rachel Caine’s Snarky Vampires Perfect for Geek & Sundry’s October Line-up

Geek & Sundry: Rachel Caine is adapting her Morganville Vampires books – fifteen (15) total – for a hilarious fright fest of a web series. Each episode of the first season is expected to be 8-12 minutes long, bringing the entire season to about an hour and is freely adapted by Rachel from the first novel – Glass Houses. The first season will begin airing on Geek & Sundry October 27th with a prime schedule planned out… the hope is that the first season finale lands on Halloween day.

Thanks to a passionate fanbase who fully supported the Kickstarter project (and whose funds were then matched by Felicia Day’s Geek & Sundry), Morganville Vampires: Book Series became Morganville: The Series and utilized one of the fastest, most innovative platforms for upcoming shows. Through the expansive reach of Youtube, Rachel’s fans can enjoy the show without the long wait that comes through traditional television and also, reach a worldwide audience faster. All around it made the most sense for a book series of this size and caliber.

Even though web series are seen as non-traditional formats, the casting process and scouting for film locations remains normal. Auditions were held in Dallas, LA, Austin, New Orleans and some digital (to give fans of the books a chance at the spotlight too). Rachel wrote all the character monologues for the auditions. The entire show ended up being filmed on location in Dallas, Texas in four separate venues, including a coffee shop, a turn-of-last-century Victorian home, a hospital, and a university. Nearly every episode ends with Rachel’s infamous cliffhanger endings!

Switching from book to film writing was easier than Rachel expected. The very first thing she did, ended up setting the stage for the adaptation process and made it easier for her to focus on the story she wished to tell. Rachel says, “The first thing I tried to do, since I wrote the book in 2006, was to write down everything I remembered from it without re-reading it. That was fascinating, because what I wrote down was really the core story, and that turned out to be what needed to be told in the show. So while I did go back to the book, I did it for the purposes of review, not inspiration.”

Fans might be wondering how a 10-day- shoot in April 2014 could possibly yield a story they recognize, Rachel is confident the series delivers and explains, “For practical purposes, you can only have so many characters in a show with this running time, so some characters from the novel, while really interesting, ended up not being central to the plot (like Miranda). However, I did think it was important to introduce Myrnin, who is a fan favorite character, into the mix early, so he makes a short appearance this season.”

To find out more, check out these sites for the scoop on Rachel Caine, The Morganville Vampires Books and Morganville: The Series.

Summary -- Morganville - a brave teen (Claire Danvers) moves to the very isolated West Texas town to attend the local university, only to (a) run afoul of the local mean (very mean) girls, and (b) move to the safety of off-campus housing with three strangers.

But the plot thickens when she discovers that her new housemates aren’t crazy: Morganville really is run by vampires. They own it, and every one in it. And now ... they own her.

Morganville: The Series – The show stars fan favorites Robert Picardo as Oliver (Star Trek: Voyager) and Amber Benson (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) as Amelie, as well as Lindsay Seidel (Claire), Jordan Taylor Farris (Shane), Haileigh Todd (Eve), Ben Easter (Michael), Nikki Donley (Hannah), Afomia Hailemeskel (Monica), Jessi Mechler (Gina), Taylor Murphy (Jennifer), Gregory Connors (Brandon) and Chase Ryan Jeffery (Myrnin). It is directed by Blake Calhoun, known for his award-winning and groundbreaking digital series Pink and Continuum, the show was filmed on location in Texas on a Blackmagic camera.

Rachel Caine –  is a fictional character herself … a pen name of writer Roxanne Conrad. Since 2003, Rachel has written in the adult Urban Fantasy genre (the Weather Warden, Outcast Season, Revivalist and Red Letter Days series) as well as in Young Adult fiction (the Morganville Vampires series and award-winning novel Prince of Shadows). She is the author of more than forty novels and many short stories, and is regularly featured in anthology collections, most recently the Charlaine Harris edited Dead But Not Forgotten.

And here's the awesome special content! I have a special video and  pics from the set and a cast photo taken at NY Comic Con!
