Top Ten Tuesday (82)- My Top Ten Favorite Villains

Hi thanks for stopping by!!! And welcome to my Top 10 Tuesday post!

Thanks to the lovely ladies at The Broke And The Bookish for creating this weekly meme!

Here's this week's topic.

October 4:  All About The Villains -- I don't think we've done a villains topic since back in November 2010 so let's revisit: top ten favorite/most compelling villains in books, top ten of the most vile villains/bad guys in books, top ten villains I secretly (or not so secretly) love, favorite tv villains, favorite comic book villains, ten "villains" of contemporary lit.

I love a good villain so I decided to do my all time favorite villains they may be from books, movies, or TV shows. I'll link to the goodreads page or IMDB page.

1. The Commander from Maria V. Snyder's Study and Glass books. This is one creepy ass villain and you never know his motives.

2. Sylar from Heroes. He is probably one of my all time favorite TV villains!

3. The Commandant from Sabaa Tahir's An Ember in The Ashes series. This chick is messed up

4. Warner's Father. The Supreme Commander from Tahereh Mafi's Shatter Me series. This is one bad dude.

5. Khan from the early Star Trek Movies. I'm talking Ricardo Montalban not Benedict Cumberbatch his Khan was a pussycat compared to Montalban's.

6. Voldemort & Umbridge. From both the Harry Potter books and movies. Voldermort was the true villain of the stories and her was awful but in my opinion Dolores Umbridge was worse.

7. Jack Randall from the Outlander books and TV series. He's just a disguising human being and I hate him.

8. The Fairy Queen Anise from Claire Legrand's Winterspell. She may seem nice and sweet she is one bad, bad person.

9. Neegan from The Walking Dead graphic novels and TV show. Yes we just met him on the show last season, and I know who he kills in the graphic novels. I have my fingers crossed it's not the same for the TV show. I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan too so I'm happy I get to see him play such an iconic villain.

10. Rose Red the haunted house in Stephen King's Rose Red Mini-series.(yes I'm talking about a house but it's no ordinary house). Trust me if you haven't seen this find a way to watch it! It's perfect for Halloween!

So what about you? Who are your favorite villains ? And check back next week for my Top Ten books I've read because friends recommended them to me!!

Hugs,
Jaime

Top Ten Tuesday (68)- Ten Reasons I love the High Fantasy Genre in Books. Movies, and TV!

Hi thanks for stopping by!!! And welcome to my Top 10 Tuesday post!

Thanks to the lovely ladies at The Broke And The Bookish for creating this weekly meme!

Here's this week's topic.

June 7: Ten Reasons I Love X -- could be a certain book, character, author, your indie bookstore, a fandom, a tv show, reading, a hobby, a genre. Honestly anything you want to gush about.

I think I'm going to focus on a genre instead of just one thing so here we go!

Ten Reasons I love the High Fantasy Genre in Books. Movies, and TV! All the movies and TV shows are based off of books too!

And just a warning there will be some gif usage here lol

1. I love High Fantasy because it lets me escape to other worlds where magic is real and so are monsters.

2. It has introduced me to some of my all time favorite book boyfriends! I'll link the books to the guys names so you can add to your tbr's!  Valek, Hector, Elias, Khalid, Chaol, Rhysand, Anton, Magnus, & many, many more!

3. There's all types of heroines and not all of them are badass/kickass (although I do like those!)

4. Elves, Hobbits, Wizards, and other magical creatures. And Legolas *sighs*

5. Game of Thrones. And my 3 favorite characters. Jon, Danerys, and Tyrion.

6. Harry Potter for so many reasons!

7.  Shannara.

8. Many of you probably won't remember this series but I loved Legend of The Seeker!

9. Merlin of course!

10. And Willow, Chronicles of Narnia, The Neverending Story, Stardust, and so much more!

So what about you? What are some of your fantasy books, movies, or TV shows? And check back next week for my Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For The Second Half Of The Year!

Top Ten Tuesday (49)- Top Ten Book To Movie or TV Adaptations I'm Looking Forward To!

Hi thanks for stopping by!!! And welcome to my Top 10 Tuesday post!

Thanks to the lovely ladies at The Broke And The Bookish for creating this weekly meme!

Here's this week's topic.

November 10: Top Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I'm Looking Forward To or Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I Still Need To Watch

I'm pretty good at watching book to movie adaptations so there won't be many need-to-watch ones. Also they really should have added Book to TV adaptations to this TTT so I did it myself.

1. Mockingjay Part 2 I know I'm going to cry like a baby in this but I'm still excised to see the finale on November 18th we got super cool double feature passes!

2. Allegiant. No full length trailer yet but here's a teaser trailer, and I know I hated the book but I still will watch this lol.

3. Paper Towns. Not gonna lie I am not a fan of John Green's books but If I don't watch this my friends will drive me nuts.

4. The Legend of Shannara. This isn't a movie but a new TV series based off of Terry Brooks books and I can't wait to watch! Make sure to check MTV for the start date and follow @Shannara on twitter!

5. The Mortal Instruments. Yep another TV show and I'm not quite sure how I will like it but I'm going to give it a shot. I'm hoping it's better than the movie. Make sure to check ABC Family/ soon to be Freeform for the start date and follow @ABCFamily on twitter!

6. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. It's a Harry Potter spin off need I say more? There's no trailer yet but this was a cool breakdown on the Entertainment Weekly cover from Beyond the Trailer.

7. The 5th Wave. Loved this book and I love Chloe Grace Moritz. I can't wait for this one!

8. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. I love Ransom and even though I haven't read this book I'm excited for the movie. Obviously this isn't the trailer but it's pretty cool!

9. The Magicians by Lev Grossman. Another TV series but I can't wait for this one on Syfy! Make sure to check Syfy for the start date and follow @Syfy on twitter!

10. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. This one just looks like it'll be awesome!

Honorable Mentions

Fallen by Lauren Kate. Admittedly I wasn't a huge fan of this series but I'll give the movie a try.

So what about you? What are your favorite book To Movie or TV Adaptations? And come back next week for my Top Ten Quotes I Loved From Books I Read In The Past Year Or So. I may or may not do this one since I've stopped putting post-its in my review books.

Hugs,
Jaime

And she will discover secrets about herself and her world that could change the course of history. She must rise up as champion-a champion to those who have hated her most.

Now on to the awesome post!

If Hector Lived on Earth in 2013

Hector has been magically transported from Joya d'Arena to modern day Earth. (Hey, it could happen…) So, what does he think of our world and his new life?

Hector's celebrity crush:
Adele. He has a thing for gorgeous, powerful, full-figured women. (Runner-up: Beyoncé)

Top Destination Vacation:
Sonoma County, California. He loves to go wine-tasting. The rolling vineyards and rugged, tidepool-ridden coastline remind him of his childhood home.

Favorite book:
Architecture: Form, Space, and Order by Francis D.K. Ching. He's a nerd, okay?

Favorite movie:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2. Hector is quite moved by the themes of friendship and self-sacrifice in this last HP installment.

Hobbies:
Basketball, rock-climbing, AutoCAD design, reading (especially nonfiction).

Favorite TV Show:
He tried to watch Game of Thrones, but he had a bit of a PTSD reaction to some of the memory-inciting violence. So he prefers The Walking Dead, which is still action-adventure but more escapist for him. He thinks zombies are hilarious.

The thing he loves most about our world:
Guns. Even better than the bow and arrow for long-distance defense! He took his first gun (a used Winchester Model 1895 rifle) completely apart and put it back together again, just to see how it worked. He NEVER keeps it loaded.

The thing he hates most about our world:
Corrupt politicians.

Hector's favorite songs:
-When thinking of the events of The Crown of Embers: Too Close by Alex Clare
-When thinking of the events of The Bitter Kingdom: (Everything I Do) I Do It For You by Bryan Adams. Why yes, this IS the cheesiest song ever written. But can you blame a guy who is *that much* in love?

So there you have it. Hector in our world. Hmmm, maybe this would make a good sit-com. We could call it New Boy. Or Modern Guard. The Hector Diaries? Okay, you're right, that's a really bad idea. :)

NO IT'S NOT!!!! I WANT TO BE IN THE SITCOM TOO LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by today Rae!
