Cover Reveal Gravity by Melissa West

OK so this is a huuuuggeeee squee moment for Jaime! You all know she really loves sci-fi and we have both been waiting to see this cover! So here it is Gravity by Melissa West!!!!

Gorgeous right??? Now if we could only get our hands on a copy to read hmmmm………

Oh well for now here’s the synopsis.

In the future, only one rule will matter:

Don’t. Ever. Peek.

Seventeen-year-old Ari Alexander just broke that rule and saw the last person she expected hovering above her bed—arrogant Jackson Locke, the most popular boy in her school. She expects instant execution or some kind of freak alien punishment, but instead, Jackson issues a challenge: help him, or everyone on Earth will die.

Ari knows she should report him, but everything about Jackson makes her question what she’s been taught about his kind. And against her instincts, she’s falling for him. But Ari isn’t just any girl, and Jackson wants more than her attention. She’s a military legacy who’s been trained by her father and exposed to war strategies and societal information no one can know—especially an alien spy, like Jackson. Giving Jackson the information he needs will betray her father and her country, but keeping silent will start a war.

Thanks to Entangled Publishing and Melissa West for having us involved in the cover reveal! We can’t wait to read Gravity! Gravity will be released October 2012!

Get Hana The Delirium Novella Free For Valentine's Day

Ok ya’ll we have to do this!!! We cannot wait to read Hana for many reasons but the biggest? Hana’s POV will be in the 3rd book Requiem!!!!!

Here’s a synopsis from the Harper Teen website!

Lauren Oliver's riveting, original digital story set in the world of her New York Times bestseller Delirium.
The summer before they're supposed to be cured of the ability to love, best friends Lena and Hana begin to drift apart. While Lena shies away from underground music and parties with boys, Hana jumps at her last chance to experience the forbidden. For her, the summer is full of wild music, dancing—and even her first kiss.
But on the surface, Hana must be a model of perfect behavior. She meets her approved match, Fred Hargrove, and glimpses the safe, comfortable life she’ll have with him once they marry. As the date for her cure draws ever closer, Hana desperately misses Lena, wonders how it feels to truly be in love, and is simultaneously terrified of rebelling and of falling into line.
In this digital story that will appeal to fans of Delirium and welcome new admirers to its world, readers will come to understand scenes from Delirium through Hana's perspective. Hana is a touching and revealing look at a life-changing and tumultuous summer.

From Harper Teen….

Blogger Best Friend Feature

When Mindy asked me to do a post on Rachel (Fiktshun) for her Blogging Best Friends post I said heck yeah I’d love to! One reason Rachel is one of my best friends I met her through twitter and blogging but over the past year she has been a constant in my life.  Out of Patricia and Mindy and I; I’m the only one who’s met her IRL and she’s so adorable! I met her at RT and she was running around the expo floor trying to get everything signed. I think she bought more books than she brought lol. She’s always there to help with anything; like I suck at html see that button there to the right? Our Two Chicks button? Yep Rachel made that for us because Patricia and I aren’t that great with html.

If I’ve had a crappy day Rachel always has a way to make me laugh especially with her short stories! My favorite was about a certain demon with glistening rock hard abs. I’d share it but I think it would embarrass her. She’s also my book pimp (no really) if she gets duplicates she always thinks of me and asks if I’d like it and she doesn’t expect anything in return. That being said when I can send her little surprises because she’s just that awesome!

Well that’s a few of the reasons why I love Rachel but if I stated them all we’d be here all day ;) next look below for why Patricia loves her! You rock Rachel <3333333

I first met Rachel on Twitter, though I don’t know who made contact first since I get a little shy on Twitter, but it was probably through Jaime. I immediately liked her. I have to confess that I am bit of a stalker of hers. I very often visit her multiple blogs. She has one of the best “voices” out there; her posts are always full of information and thoughtfulness. It’s a pleasure stalking her visiting the different blogs she has. It’s obvious to anyone who visits her blogs that she puts a lot of thought and love into what she does.

Rachel is super sweet & kind. She’s always willing to answer questions and is super generous. I will forever be grateful that thanks to her I read The Soul Screamers series and Vampire Academy series as she gifted them both to me without a second thought.  I’ve really come to think of her as a friend. We have had conversations about a few other things than blogging or books and she’s abso-freaking-lutely amazing. Hopefully I’ll get to meet her in the real world come this June at ALA.

Here’s the links to Rachel’s blogs make sure to go check them out! She does many giveaways and has awesome posts! And make sure to check out Mindy’s Blogger Best Friend post!

Jaime's Review of Partials by Dan Wells

From Goodreads.
The human race is all but extinct after a war with Partials--engineered organic beings identical to humans--has decimated the population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by RM, a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island while the Partials have mysteriously retreated. The threat of the Partials is still imminent, but, worse, no baby has been born immune to RM in more than a decade. Our time is running out.
Kira, a sixteen-year-old medic-in-training, is on the front lines of this battle, seeing RM ravage the community while mandatory pregnancy laws have pushed what's left of humanity to the brink of civil war, and she's not content to stand by and watch. But as she makes a desperate decision to save the last of her race, she will find that the survival of humans and Partials alike rests in her attempts to uncover the connections between them--connections that humanity has forgotten, or perhaps never even knew were there.
Dan Wells, acclaimed author of "I Am Not a Serial Killer," takes readers on a pulse pounding journey into a world where the very concept of what it means to be human is in question--one where our humanity is both our greatest liability and our only hope for survival.

Jaime’s review….

I really liked this book! I’m not going to say loved as there were a few things that I didn’t like but, I was able to overlook them for the most part. I guess I’ll start out with what I didn’t enjoy first. The length of the book; this book took longer than most to get through and I feel it could have been shorter I hope the rest of the books in the series are because I do plan to read them. I found myself asking “when is this going to end” a few times. The second thing I didn’t enjoy; I felt no emotional connection to any of the characters in the story my heart didn’t race during the action sequences and I didn’t get upset when something bad happened. I also usually have a crush on one of the male characters in a book but I didn’t find myself drawn to any of them. So no swooning over a boy in this one for me guys.

Now on to what I did like. The story itself was awesome and beautifully written!  I really liked the idea and the way Dan Wells envisioned the world and how they came to be after the wars. Kira is a pretty badass heroine and her circle of friends were also pretty awesome! I also really liked the description of the places in the story I could easily visualize them. I really want to learn more about the partials themselves and I hope book 2 is more about them and the mysterious Para-Gen. Oh and the cover was gorgeous! Like I said I definitely will be reading book 2 and I am looking forward to it!

Add Partials to your Goodreads shelves.
Partials comes out February 28th so make sure to pre-order your copy!

Thanks to Harper Teen and Netgalley for the review copy!
