POV – I didn’t see anything.

I step into her
room, still feeling a little high from earlier. If Kenzie hadn’t interrupted,
would I have…? No. Ari can’t stand me, but sometimes I think…I push the thought
from my mind.
“Hey, I’m early.” I turn around and freeze. “I—You—”
She’s naked.
Like, naked-naked. Before either of us can respond, my eyes scan slowly down
her body, lingering on each delicate curve, and then back to her face, which
looks as though she’s deciding whether to deck me now or put on clothes first.
“Get out of here!” she screams.
Finally my brain
defrosts and I shut my eyes and spin around, fighting the urge to laugh. Ms.
Calm and Collected is definitely no longer calm.
She peeks her head out of the bathroom and barks at
me to get her some pajamas from her closet. I bite my lip to keep from grinning
and instead put on a show of unease. I grab some silky something from her
closet and hand it over to her. “I’m sorry, I had no idea. I didn't see
anything.” Then I pause and add with a smirk, “Well, maybe a little but—”
“Ugh! Just shut up! I’ll be out in a second.” She
shuts herself back in the bathroom and then a minute later storms out. “This is
never to be brought up again, got it? You saw nothing. Nothing.”
I tilt my head, my eyes on hers, a mischievous smile
on my face. “Nothing.”
