Two Chicks on Books

Book Dream cast. 

I love dream casting! The pictures in my head don’t always translate to a living person, so it’s fun to see who the closest equivalent could be. So, for the movie version of The Dalí Tamareia Missions, THIRD FRONT edition, here we go:

I’ve always seen Dalí in my head as the actor Jaye Davidson from The Crying Game and Stargate, but I think I’ve finally found the perfect Dalí in Vico Ortiz from Our Flag Means Death. A non-binary actor, Vico kicks ass as Jim, the knife-wielding, I-am-not-a-fucking-mermaid pirate. They could totally embody Dalí.

 

Dalí’s commanding officer, Rion Sumner, is a bit harder to cast. He has a soft side under all that armor, but doesn’t put up with any crap. Charlie Hunnam is not a bad place to start. 

 

The terrorist Miriam Skadi needs a strong actor who can show all the buried trauma through the unapologetic love of chaos. Margot Robbie? Yes.

 

Lunar Homeland Security agent Preeda Saetang must be Ming Na Wen. Badass. Beautiful. Sarcastic. I can’t think of a better actor to play her.

For Alecto Sim, his voice and character were always based on Paul Bettany’s portrayal of The Vision, right down to his lavender skin. Cultured, dangerous, and ridiculously pretty.
