Turning thirteen can be difficult - especially when a time-traveling thief steals your necklace, and a brewing temporal conflict turns your birthday party into a mission to save the universe. As Hannah and her friends chase the thief across time and space, they learn her necklace is more than a pretty piece of jewelry. Only one person can control the powerful pendant, and they must find them before the entire universe is wiped from history.

Myth and magic collide as they race to find The Guardian of Time.

Interview:

Hey Traci!! First I want to say welcome to Two Chicks on Books I’m glad you could stop by for a chat! WORTH THE WAIT sounds AWESOME and I can’t wait for everyone to read it!
I’m so excited to be here. Thanks for having me!
For the readers: can you tell us a little bit about the WORTH THE WAIT and the characters?
Sure. Worth the Wait is a small-town sweet romance between two characters who are at crossroad points in their lives. My heroine, Mandy Reynolds, is at a low-point career-wise and grieving. She’s back in her hometown of Heavenly Falls to settle her beloved mother’s estate. While there though, she gets a surprise. She’s inherited half a house, with none other than the ex-stepbrother she used to crush on back in high school. They disagree on almost everything about the house, but are forced to live and work together in order to make this work out for both of them. Of course, along the way old feelings get reignited and things become way more complicated than either of them wanted or expected.

What are you working on now?
Right now, I’m working on revisions for my next Medical Romance with Harlequin. It’s a Christmas story and part of a continuity that will release beginning in November of this year. I’m also writing Book 2 in my Point Beacon series with Entangled Bliss.

Were any of the characters in the book inspired by people from your real life?
Not necessarily, though I do tend to study people for their quirks. LOL. Honestly, when I first started this book seven years ago (yep, you read that right), I was just trying to challenge myself. At the time, I was published in paranormal romance, but wanted to crossover into contemporary romance. So, I wondered what kind of jobs hadn’t I seen enough of for heroes in the books I was reading. Tax man was pretty rare, so I went with that. Then I thought about what kind of woman would get this guy’s attention, in the best and worst ways, and came up with a flighty actress. The rest developed from there. Opposites attract is one of my favorite tropes, along with second chances, and I managed to get both of them in this book.

Who was your favorite character to write? What about your least favorite?
Gosh, Ioved writing all the characters in this book. I mean, if I don’t like them, who else will, right? LOL.

What kind of research did you have to do for the story?
I watched a lot of This Old House episodes since I know nothing about construction and my hero is an expert in it. I also learned a lot about acting and drama therapy too.

Who is your ultimate book boyfriend?
Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher #hmmm

What inspired you to write romance?
I read my first romance when I was in eighth grade and never looked back since. There’s such diversity and delightful stories in our genre. Really something for everyone. I never thought about writing one though until one night in 2011 I had a dream (cliché alert, LOL, but it’s true). It wouldn’t get out of my head until I wrote it down. 100K+ words in a month later, I had my first story on paper and a lot of work ahead to get it ready for anyone else to see. But yeah. That first story ended being my first published novel back in 2013 and the rest is HEA history!
