Dying To Read (132)- THE KING SLAYER by Virginia Boecker

Hey y’all thanks for stopping by to see my Dying to Read post and of course as always I have to give credit to the lovely Jill over at Breaking the Spine for the Waiting on Wednesday Meme!

I am slightly obsessed with Virginia Boecker's first book THE WITCH HUNTER! It's the perfect mix of Fantasy and historical and has a couple swoony guys (don't worry no love triangle) so of course this one is on my TBR! Can it be June already??/

Title: THE KING SLAYER
Author: Virginia Boecker
Release Date: June 14, 2016
Publisher:  Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
Pages: 368
Formats: Hardcover & eBook
Find it: Goodreads | Amazon | B&NiBooks
Magic, suspense, and political intrigue collide in this sequel to The Witch Hunter, perfect for fans of Graceling and the Grisha Trilogy.

Former witch hunter Elizabeth Grey is hiding within the magically protected village of Harrow, evading the price put on her head by Lord Blackwell, the usurper king of Anglia. Their last encounter left Blackwell ruined, but his thirst for power grows stronger every day. He's readying for a war against those who would resist his rule--namely Elizabeth and the witches, wizards, pirates, and healers she now calls her friends.

Having lost her stigma, a magical source of protection and healing, Elizabeth's strength is tested both physically and emotionally. War always means sacrifice, and as the lines between good and evil blur once more, Elizabeth must decide just how far she'll go to save those she loves.

In this sequel to The Witch Hunter, Virginia Boecker delivers a powerful story full of action, suspense, camaraderie, and romance.
So what do you think? Will you be adding this to your pile? What are you dying to read this week?

  1. Though I have not read The Witch Hunter, I think I may have to just because I want to read this sequel. I absolutely love Graceling and the Grisha Trilogy and with magic and action, how could I not want to read this book. Thanks for sharing... totally putting both books on my TBR pile.
