Swoon Thursday (8)- The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas

Ok so you said you’d like me to keep doing Swoon Thursdays and I am here to please! Thanks to the lovely ladies at YA Bound for this awesome meme! I love being able to a share swoon-worthy snippet with you!

So this week I’ve decided to share a swoon-worthy scene from the book I’m currently reading! So far this book was awesome and I know you all will be dying to get your hands on it after this passage!

THE BURNING SKY by Sherry Thomas

This book is awesome and the scene I’m going to share isn’t sexy times but it’s very sweet. When I read is I awed and swooned! I absolutely adore Titus and I can’t wait for the world to meet him! Ok so a little set up here Iolanthe has been transformed into a canary for her own protection and Titus doesn't think she will remember what he has said to her when she transforms back into a human. Will she remember? You'll have to read the book to find out ;)

“Remember it will be unpleasant and you will not be able to move immediately afterward. I will wait in the repository.”

She chirped after a few seconds, perhaps trying to make sure he had vacated the premises.

“I am still here, shuffling along.” He answered.

She chirped again. She was most likely telling him to hurry, but he chose to have a little fun with her—there was a severe scarcity of fun in his life. “You are anxious? Imagine how I feel, darling.”

She chirped twice in a row. He wished he did not feel so wretched—carrying on an imaginary conversation with her would otherwise have been a highly rewarding use of his time.

“How can you help? If you will only…” He stopped.

He had been trying, with no apparent success, to bridge the chasm between them. But that was not all he wanted, was it? No, he was far more ambitious than even he had realized. He wanted her to…

“Fall in love with me.” He heard, loud and clear, the words the truth serum compelled from him. “If you loved me, everything would be so much easier.”

So what did you think? Does this make you want to add it to you TBR? I’d love to hear what you think!

Swoon Thursday (2)- The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau

Ok so you said you’d like me to keep doing Swoon Thursdays and I am here to please! Thanks to the lovely ladies at YA Bound for this awesome meme! I love being able to share swoon-worthy snippet with you!

So this week I’ve decided to share swoon-worthy scenes from one of the books I’ve read over the past week! This book is so good I’m still having problems finding a book that I like as much; can we say book hangover!

THE TESTING by Joelle Charbonneau

This book is very much about the Testing and the violence but there’s always time for romance and love right? And while this isn’t as hawt as my Sweet Peril one from last week I hope you enjoy!

“Right.” Tomas smiles. “With the two of us working together, how can we go wrong? And you know what? I’m glad you figured out someone was listening in for another reason.”

“Why’s that?”

“Because the first time I tell you that I’m in love with you, I’d rather not share the moment with Dr. Barnes and his friends.”

The words and the way his lips touch mine make my heart shimmer. I know this is the wrong time to be thinking about love. I know this test—knowing our lives are in danger—means I can’t trust my emotions. But the warmth in my veins and the strength I feel just being near Tomas are real. So when his lips leave mine, I’m able to say, “I think I love you, too.”

So what did you think? Does this make you want to add it to you TBR? I’d love to hear what you think!

Swoon Thursday (1)- The Beautiful and the Cursed and Sweet Peril

So I’ve never done this one before but I’ve followed the Swoon Thursday meme hosted by the ladies over at YA Bound for quite some time and I thought I’d give it a go. I read so many books with swoon-worthy scenes and I’d love to share them with you all and not just as excerpts in my reviews.

So this week I’ve decided to share swoon-worthy scenes from two of the books I’ve read over the past week! They’re two entirely different books so I’m excited to share them with you!

This Gothic Paranormal story had me at Gargoyles and I love that it’s told in multiple POV’s so this isn’t the only swoon-worthy scene. There’s a lot more!

Nolan hooked his arm around her waist and brought her closer against him. It felt entirely different from when Thomas had gripped her. Nolan held her as if a riptide were trying to steal her away from him. A low, hungry groan rose up his throat—and Gabby gave in. Her fingers fanned out across his chest and she returned the kiss, her lips turning soft against his.

SWEET PERIL by Wendy Higgins

What more can I say? You all loved Sweet Evil right? And we thought Wendy pushed the boundaries in that one with the hotness! Well she upped the game in this one BIG TIME!

He pushed forward until I was against the stacked washer and dryer, and his knee slipped between my legs.

“To you,” he whispered, his breath hot against my mouth. “I swear it.”

The kiss became fast and frenzied, pulling each other closer with greedy hands until Kaidan broke away and breathed against my ear, “Let me see you again.”

So what did you think? Do you all think I should keep doing this? I have tons of books with swoon-worthy moments I can share with you! Let me know if I should make this a weekly feature! Also what are some of your swoon-worthy scenes of the week?

Blog Tour- Indigo Awakening By Jordan Dane and a Giveaway!

Are YOU an Indigo Child? Take the Indigo Test

In my new HUNTED series with Harlequin Teen, a strong inspiration for book #1 INDIGO AWAKENING and the series is the idea that Indigo, Crystal, or Star children are the next evolution of mankind. I am very intrigued by the idea that despite what man might believe—that we are top of the food chain and can’t foresee a 2.0 version of us—mankind is bound to evolve into something beyond what we are today. And yes, there are many people who believe that these children (or Indigo Warrior adults) exist among us and are evolving into a more enlightened version of ourselves.

Query “Indigo children” online and you will get over millions of hits. The phenomenon of Indigo children or Indigo adults have inspired books, movies, TV shows, national news coverage, and been linked to the CIA and the Pentagon.

The tag line for the book is “They are our future, if they survive.” In my fictional book, these special psychic kids are being secretly hunted by the Believers, a fanatical church that fears what these children (and the Indigo adults who are protecting them) are becoming. A storm is brewing on the streets of LA.

But today I would like to see how many of YOU are Indigos and will bravely admit it. Take the Indigo test and see if you are the next evolution of mankind and share your results with us in a comment.

If you hate tests, share your thoughts & answer any question you’d like from this list.

1.)       Do you see people's auras?
2.)      Have you ever seen the dead or angels?
3.)       Are you intuitive or have you ever had a deja vu moment that struck you as sooooo real? Do you know anyone like this?
4.)      If you were an Indigo, what kind of psychic powers would you want to have?

Are you ready to take the INDIGO test?

Click HERE for the link to the test and post your results in a comment. Some of you may not need a test to tell you what you already know. I have a very strong feeling—call me psychic—that the followers of this amazing blog are exceptionally gifted readers.

      by Jordan Dane
      Release Date: 12/18/12
      Paperback/e-book
      304 pages
    Goodreads / Amazon / Barnes & Noble

Summary from Goodreads:
Because of what you are, the Believers will hunt you down.

Voices told Lucas Darby to run. Voices no one else can hear. He’s warned his sister not to look for him, but Rayne refuses to let her troubled brother vanish on the streets of LA. In her desperate search, she meets Gabriel Stewart, a runaway with mysterious powers and far too many secrets. Rayne can’t explain her crazy need to trust the strange yet compelling boy—to touch him—to protect him even though he scares her.

A fanatical church secretly hunts psychic kids—gifted “Indigo” teens feared to be the next evolution of mankind—for reasons only “the Believers” know. Now Rayne’s only hope is Gabe, who is haunted by an awakening power—a force darker than either of them imagine—that could doom them all.
