Blog Tour- BLACK MOON by Romina Russell House Sagittarius & A Giveaway!

Hey y'all! I'm stoked to be hosting a spot on the BLACK MOON Blog Tour! I freaking love this series! Romina wanted to share some fashion from the Zodiac houses and even though I'm a Leo I will be sharing the weapon of House Sagittarius!

Haven't heard of BLACK MOON? Check it out!

Title: BLACK MOON
Author: Romina Russell
Pub. Date: December 6, 2016
Publisher: Razorbill
Pages: 320
Formats: Hardcover, Paperback, eBook
Book 3 in the breathtaking sci-fi space saga inspired by astrology that will stun fans of the Illuminae Files and Starbound series.

One final secret stands between Rho and the enemy. But will the devastating truth be enough to destroy her first?

Rho, the courageous visionary from House Cancer, lost nearly everything when she exposed and fought against the Marad, a mysterious terrorist group bent on destroying balance in the Zodiac Galaxy. Now, the Marad has disappeared without a trace, and an uneasy peace has been declared in the Zodiac Galaxy.

But Rho is suspicious. She believes the Master is still out there in some other form. And looming over all are the eerie visions of her mother, who died many years ago, but is now appearing to Rho in the stars.

When news of a stylish new political party supported by her best friend, Nishi, sends Rho on another journey across the galaxy, she uses it as an opportunity to hunt the hidden master and seek out information about her mother. And what she uncovers sheds light on the truth--but casts darkness upon the entire Zodiac world.

Now on to the post!

Sagittarius
The Stargazers of Sagittarius go to battle in a levlan lavender uniform. The fabric has special holographic capabilities that Stargazers can activate to either blend into their environment or overwhelm their enemies with a dizzying display of lights. They pair the suit with the Arclight: A portable metallic device that attaches to soldiers’ Trackers and shoots bullets that burst into flames on contact.

And lol it seems my imagination is sucky right now because I can't seem to find any images of what this might look like. I'm assuming it's like a purple jumpsuit of some kind. So I'm assuming it looks something like this maybe with long sleeves and a more streamlined leg.

As for the weapon since I'm a huge fan of the Assassin's Creed video games my mind immediately went here! Of course it's more technologically advanced but this is what I imagine.

Blog Tour- WANDERING STAR by Romina Russell

Hey y'all! I'm stoked to be kicking off the WANDERING STAR Blog Tour! Romina wanted to share each of the houses weapons and even though I'm a Leo I will be sharing the weapon of House Aries!

Haven't heard of WANDERING STAR? Check it out!

Title: WANDERING STAR
Author: Romina Russell
Pub. Date: December 8, 2015
Publisher: Razorbill
Pages: 352
Formats: Hardcover, eBook, audiobook
Orphaned, disgraced, and stripped of her title, Rho is ready to live life quietly, as an aid worker in the Cancrian refugee camp on House Capricorn.

But news has spread that the Marad--an unbalanced terrorist group determined to overturn harmony in the Galaxy--could strike any House at any moment.

Then, unwelcome nightmare that he is, Ochus appears to Rho, bearing a cryptic message that leaves her with no choice but to fight.

Now Rho must embark on a high-stakes journey through an all-new set of Houses, where she discovers that there's much more to her Galaxy--and to herself--than she could have ever imagined.

Now on to the post!

#1: HOUSE ARIES, military
Majors in the Ariean army go to battle wearing their Helm: a warrior’s helmet that, in addition to protecting one’s head, also provides a polarized, panoramic view of the battlefield and alerts the wearer of any incoming attacks or problematic vitals.

The Helm’s advanced optics also allow Arieans to zoom in on the horizon and identify threats as well as friendlies. It can also tap into the visual feeds of other soldiers in the wearer’s regiment, and take control of larger weapons like tanks, airships, and homing missiles. Advanced technology aside, there are still plenty of stories about Arieans in combat using their Helm as a blunt object to batter their enemies.

While Romina didn't supply images when I hear "Helm" I think of a Viking Helmet so here's what I think the Arieans Helm's might look like. Just add a screen in the eye holes for all of the updated technology and there you go!

At the dawn of time, there were 13 Houses in the Zodiac Galaxy. Now only 12 remain….
Rhoma Grace is a 16-year-old student from House Cancer with an unusual way of reading the stars. While her classmates use measurements to make accurate astrological predictions, Rho can’t solve for ‘x’ to save her life—so instead, she looks up at the night sky and makes up stories.
When a violent blast strikes the moons of Cancer, sending its ocean planet off-kilter and killing thousands of citizens—including its beloved Guardian—Rho is more surprised than anyone when she is named the House’s new leader. But, a true Cancerian who loves her home fiercely and will protect her people no matter what, Rho accepts.
Then, when more Houses fall victim to freak weather catastrophes, Rho starts seeing a pattern in the stars. She suspects Ophiuchus—the exiled 13th Guardian of Zodiac legend—has returned to exact his revenge across the Galaxy. Now Rho—along with Hysan Dax, a young envoy from House Libra, and Mathias, her guide and a member of her Royal Guard—must travel through the Zodiac to warn the other Guardians.
But who will believe anything this young novice says? Whom can Rho trust in a universe defined by differences? And how can she convince twelve worlds to unite as one Zodiac?
Embark on a dazzling journey with ZODIAC, the first novel in an epic sci-fi-meets-high-fantasy series set in a galaxy inspired by the astrological signs.

ZODIAC
Romina Russell
Release Date: December 9, 2014
Hardcover: 368 pages
Publisher: Razorbill
ISBN: 978-1595147400
At the dawn of time, there were thirteen Houses in the Zodiac galaxy. Now, only twelve remain. . . .

In the Zodiac galaxy, your astrological sign determines everything about you. The stars tell the story of your life, and nothing—and nobody—is real unless you can actually touch them.

It’s a galaxy divided, where personalities clash and suspicions run high. Everyone is a potential enemy, so it’s best to stick to your kind. Hard-working realists in House Virgo scoff at sweet-talking Librans, who use stellar social skills to climb to the top. And while the brooding twins of House Gemini take forever to make a decision, optimistic Sagittarians hop from adventure to adventure without a thought.

House Cancer prizes loyalty and honesty above all else. When an unforeseen catastrophe strikes their ocean planet, the stars select sixteen-year-old Rho as their new Guardian. Rho suspects an ancient, power-hungry evil of legend has returned to exact revenge across the entire Zodiac. But Rho is an unknown novice and one of the youngest Guardians ever. Who should believe her?

And with the stars anywhere but in her favor, how can Rho defeat an enemy she can’t touch?

This first book of an epic sci-fi-meets-high-fantasy series takes place in a galaxy inspired by the twelve astrological signs—rendered with stunning complexity that both transports readers to a fascinating new world and holds up a mirror to reflect how we can better know each other in our own.

So what do you think? Will you be adding this to your pile? What are you dying to read this week?
