A haunting and hopeful Middle Grade graphic novel about a girl, ghosts, and grief.  For fans of SheetsSmall Spaces, and Ghosts.

WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBOOHOOD!

Eight-year-old Ona has lost just about everything: her home, her possessions, her mother, and almost her life. When she and her father move into her Baba’s apartment complex after these traumatic events, they had hoped for a clean start. But a mysterious specter follows her, and Ona befriends the ghost she discovers haunting the boiler room. When her new friendship starts allowing her to see other ghosts—the ghosts who haunt the other residents of her building—she decides to use her ability to help her new neighbors face their troubles and free themselves from their specters. In doing so, however, Ona must eventually come face to face with a much darker foe—her own trauma and grief. The earnestness of Judy Bloom meets the raw emotion of I Kill Giants in this beautifully hopeful story of childhood tragedy.

An original graphic novel for Middle Grade readers about grief, loss, and the ghosts that haunt us all.

For fans of Brenna Thummler’s Sheets and Delicates.

What are some of your favorite video games, tv shows, or movies?

Corey-Keeping it brief.

Games

• Legend of Zelda (From the beginning to now in all forms)

• Final Fantasy VII (PS version 1997) The remake is pretty good.

• Lunar – The Silver Star - Sega Genesis (For some reason this game really hit me in the feels as a 14-year-old.)

• Overwatch

• Warcraft 3

• GoldenEye 007

• NBA 2k Series

• Super Mario Bros. (In all forms)

Kelly-Video games I love; Phantasy Star, Altered Beast, Ghouls and Goblins, River City Ransom, Zelda, Hitman, Assassin’s Creed, Breath of The Wild, Cuphead, Untitled Goose Game.

Tv shows; The Wire, Stranger Things, The Dark, Kids in the Hall, SCTV, M.A.S.H.

All ages/kids Tv Shows; Bluey, Hilda, City of Ghosts, Sesame Street, He-Man

Movies; into the Spider Verse, Shawshank Redemption, Princess Bride,  Iron Giant, Brave, Last Night, Super Eight, Amélie, A Very Long Engagement, Willow, Star Wars, Superman.

Lisa- When it comes to TV, I mainly watch cartoons and anime. I don’t watch too many shows that aren’t animated (maybe because I am an artist?). Some of my recent favorites are: The Owl House, Hilda, Centaurworld, and Miraculous Ladybug. When it comes to video games, I love to play puzzle games, adventure games, short indie games, and games with fun colorful art styles. In general, Zelda games are always a favorite and I am obsessed with Stardew Valley. Recently I played Tunic (probably my game of the year) and Superliminal.
