Blog Tour- RUINS Timeline Scavenger Hunt by Dan Wells and a Giveaway!!

I am so excited to take part in the RUINS Timeline Scavenger Hunt Blog Tour! I loved this series and when I asked Dan if he'd like us to host it through Rockstar Book Tours he said yes! I was stoked and knew that I wanted to do something different and interesting for this one. So we came up with the idea of doing a timeline of all the events that came before the Partials wars. So everything you could possibly want to know that happened before the first book in the series! Check out my portion below and find the word bolded and highlighted in PURPLE for extra entries in the giveaway and make sure to check all of the tour stops for their portions of the timeline and their secret words!

Haven't heard of RUINS? Check it out!

RUINS

Pages: 464
Publisher: Balzer + Bray
Kira, Samm, and Marcus fight to prevent a final war between Partials and humans in the gripping final installment in the Partials Sequence, a series that combines the thrilling action of The Hunger Games with the provocative themes of Blade Runner and The Stand.

There is no avoiding it—the war to decide the fate of both humans and Partials is at hand. Both sides hold in their possession a weapon that could destroy the other, and Kira Walker has precious little time to prevent that from happening. She has one chance to save both species and the world with them, but it will only come at great personal cost.

For information on the other books in the series check out Dan's website!

Ooh and check out the trailer!

Now on to the post!

2043: Weather patterns around the world grow increasingly uniform—the lows get higher, the highs get lower, and so on. While this is initially blamed on regular climate change, some scientists suspect that the changes may be caused by the bio-weapons left over from the 2037 war.

2044: ParaGen releases the Watchdog, a semi-sentient animal designed to accompany soldiers into battle, similar in concept to a K9 police unit. Engineered to be perfectly loyal and fiercely obedient, Watchdogs become very popular among soldiers in the field, and prove especially valuable in urban combat.

2045: The North American nations remain stable, but as the Isolation War comes closer and closer to an actual shooting war, analysts worry that the need for troops and the corresponding reduction of their work force will cripple the economy. Encouraged by the success of the Watchdog, ParaGen visits the US leadership and proposes a bold new plan: artificial life that doesn't just support the soldiers, but replaces them altogether. With a budget designed to pay for fighter jets (20 million dollars each), but with virtually none of the resources required to actually build new combat vehicles, the government agrees to fund a limited test.

2048: World weather patterns continue to erode. Winters are rarely even cold anymore, and this year marks the last time it will ever snow south of the 55th parallel.
